Avenue 8 at Mayfair

We absolutely love living here, and so much of that is because of Jamie in maintenance. He is truly the heart of this community. Jamie is friendly, kind, professional, and unbelievably helpful. He knows residents by name, always stops to say hello, and clearly takes pride in keeping the property clean and running smoothly. When our AC went out during the heat of summer, he brought us a window unit to use while we waited and checked on us often to make sure we were okay. He has helped fix our windows, prepared our new two-bedroom before we moved in, and is always willing to go above and beyond. He even loves our dogs and greets them every time. My lease came up in February, and I looked for a better deal, but Ave 8 is simply the best. The grounds are well kept, pet friendly, lots of sweet pups running around, and the maintenance is incomparable! I’ve never waited more than a few hours, next morning tops, for Jaime to come around to fix whatever was needed, and he does an excellent job! There are also storage units for rent, and gated parking, both of which I take advantage of. This is the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in!

I have lived here for almost 3 years and have been very pleased with the direction the apartment has gone in the last year. Jamie, our maintenance man, goes above and beyond to maintain the grounds and fix what he is able to in a swift manner. I have had a handful of minor issues within my apartment and Jamie had come in quickly and provided a fix action that day and when our A/c could not be fixed same day he provided a portable A/c to ensure the apartment remained comfortable. During the process he continued to check on us and ensure to keep us updated on the fix actions. I am so thankful to know my home is in the care of Jamie and he not only does his job but care for every individual in the complex.

Jamie is the best handyman at any place I have ever lived at. He’s kind, professional and thorough in all the work he has done on our unit. We even had to reach out to him late on a weekend evening with a minor emergency and he got back to us almost immediately and helped us find a solution. His hard work deserves all the praise

I’ve lived at Ave 8 for 3 1/2 years now and it is bittersweet to leave. I am only leaving bc I want to be closer to cap hill and work. The only negatives are some of the neighbors, which is a part of apartment living. I moved to Ave 8 when I first moved across country and only saw a video of the unit. I got so so lucky! I moved units once to have more space and stay bc it’s a great location. ✨1 block to Mayfair park ✨1 block to small row of restaurants and liquor store ✨safe and quiet area As a female living alone I always felt safe walking my dog late at night. I will truly miss Ave 8!
