We applied for apartment here and payed the application fee and all and everything was in order but they denied us apartment they told us because our credit score wasn't 550 or something like that and I think it was wrong because they should tell people that before they put in application and pay application fee because this is wasting money because I feel if you can pay the rent and have the means of that what should really matter a special the way things is and people wonder why place never get rent or whatever This is really messed up because application fee is not cheap or whatever and we was looking forward to moving in when October 2025 came because our lease will be up Don't again apply it's seen the same way. I moved into Avenue 1601 Apartments on July 16th. I purposefully waited to write a review in order to be able to speak from my experience so far. 6 weeks later I can only say good things. Samantha, in the front office, is extremely personable. She is very easy to talk to and has been quick to act on any needs I have had. (Which have been few and minor in nature). James, the maintenance tech, has been very professional, and friendly to boot! He absolutely knows his business! And wastes no time getting things done. The new management has worked hard to beautify the grounds since I moved in. The rent is affordable too! Very important since I am retired and on a fixed income. I would definitely recommend this complex.

Where to begin. I lived here for quite some time, I originally moved in because it was convenient to my job and the prices were below market. I do only realized that was a mistake. Trash constantly piled up high at the dumpsters (which has been resolved), vehicles burned in the middle of the night, packages stolen from our porch from neighbors sketchy visitors. Was rented the apartment under the impression it had a pool. Pool has never been swimmable. It’s contstantly filled with filth and the city will send them notice and they have it cleaned and the cycle repeats. Upon moving out I informed the office of my new address to send me my deposit and or any other notices. They proceeded it to send it to my old address in this complex charging me my deposit and some stating the reason was n

The new management company took over about 6 months ago. They gave me new carpet in the bedroom after 4 years of molded carpet. Samantha is very sweet and Denise and James always look out as well. I appreciate what they have done for my home from the trash and remodels. I plan to stay here a lot longer thank planned.

Where to begin. This complex was my first apartment here in FL just this last year. BEFORE the new management, it was overall a nice, smooth, place to stay ASIDE from the few trash issues. Now that the new management is there, I can say that they are very nice in the beginning. One person particularly in the office made it extremely difficult for me towards my move out date. In the end it was all handled, but I truly hate the way they chose to end things. Everybody will not have the same experience but for me, I wouldn't tell a friend.
