I’d booked a tour of the property and travelled all the way ~2 hour commute but when I reached the property there was no one to show us around. I called the number provided, twice and waited for nearly one hour but because no one turned up, I left. A morning gone waste. Never coming back here again.

Update: I moved out in August 2018 and still have not received my security deposit. I have called endless times and have only received the after hours service who do not forward my messages along. When they finally sent my deposit ~5 months late, it was already void. I was told a month ago that a new check would arrive in a week. This is unfortunate because I had a pleasant experience living here but trying to get my deposit back has been an absolute nightmare. I’ve been living here for about a year now and everything has been fine. The community is quiet, well landscaped/plowed, and there is always plenty of parking. The buildings are well maintained; they’re always repainting hallways and the common areas are always very clean. We’ve had some non-emergency maintenance requests, and all

lived here for 6 months in a 2 bedroom with my family. I rented one of the first units. Before i was even able to view my unit the office staff had us sign our lease paperwork and stuck us in a unit before even showing us the 3 different floor plans. We had a corner unit next to the door and mail room and could hear the elevator and kids running up and down the stairs every night at all hours. The elevator was on the other side of my bedroom wall causing my bedroom to be WAY hotter while the rest of the house was FREEZING. -The complex claimed to be dog friendly but told us we could not walk our 5lb chihuahua on the grass outside that we had to take her 2 buildings away and make her use the dog park in the woods; she is terrified of larger dogs (which was awful at night and in the winter)

My rating is based on my experience with the office staff. I was interested in living at Ashland Woods and over a span of two weeks, I communicated over the phone and via email with a couple different representatives. I completed the application process and was then told the day after I submitted a deposit that all the apartments had been leased and I was out of luck. Not once had anyone mentioned that there were others interested and applying and no one made me aware of what exactly happened from one day of them just needing a deposit to the next day of them flat out denying me based on availability. They set me back two valuable weeks in my search for housing and left me frantic and desperate without ever apologizing or even acknowledging any error on their part. At worst, Ashland woods'
