Arelia James Island Luxury Apartments

Living here is pretty good. Its quiet and clean community. However, if you ever want any maintenance done, it seems like you have to either call or go down to the front office to hassle them into getting it done. The Emergency Maintenance line is great and always responsive, but general maintenance orders/systems need a lot of help. Maintenance is also super nice! I've had certain request in for weeks that don't usually ever get fixed. Not sure if it's an issue with their portal, but I've lived at various places before, and this apartment seems to struggle the most with that. It would be different if they were able to provide accurate updates on the process, but they do not.

I have been here a couple of weeks now, and it has been great so far. Jasmine was so helpful in the entire process, and answered all of my parents' questions (they accompanied me on my tour LOL). I had seen a couple roaches in my unit and requested for pest control to come spray, and they came by a couple days later. I haven't seen any since, and I assume it was from the unit being unoccupied for a little while. Overall, I love this complex. :-)

ROACH INFESTATION. Had to move out 6 months early because it was so bad. I had never seen so many roaches in my life. They were all over my apartment and the pest control they use does nothing to help. I placed maintenance request after maintenance request and nothing was ever fixed. My washer and dryer were broken for almost the entire time. My dishwasher would leak everywhere. My toilet wouldn’t flush. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They are still charging me two months rent for leaving early even though I went through all that. STAY AWAY FROM HERE

My husband and I went to tour your apartment complex, and from the outside it is absolutely beautiful. I did leave my id at home and was unable to tour which was totally ok. However, as we were waiting to be seen there was an interaction between the young lady working and another resident that we did not feel was appropriate. We will be looking elsewhere.

You could not pay me to live here again. Maintenance issues were never addressed, unit was dirty when I moved in… THE OVEN DOOR wasn’t even attached and fell on me within minutes of walking inside. Cost almost 60$ every month to pay rent online, mail room is an unorganized mess half the time. And I’ve never lived somewhere where I’ve had members of staff living in my building and being so outrageously loud, messy, and having domestic disputes so bad so often that the police were called out several times (usually at 2-3 in the morning). And bugs. So. Many bugs. Horrible managed property.
