Sharing as my partner and I had a poor experience moving out of our Amore unit. Jeremy, our property manager, had given us permission to paint the unit as it was a unique living arrangement (commercial property turned residential). He reassured us that it would be fine to paint, so we did. However, a portion of our rental deposit was withheld upon move-out. I find it deceiving that despite explicit permission to paint the unit, we were charged a repainting fee. Although Jeremy seemed accommodating at the beginning of our tenancy, it became quickly apparent that Amore was just interested in getting the unit rented.
