American Heritage Homes

The people you work with at American Heritage when building your home are absolutely fantastic. The neighborhood we live in is beautiful and well thought out. I can’t imagine any situation where building a home comes with zero hiccups, but any we had were dealt with quickly and with a smile. The process of building with American Heritage was a time my whole family looks back on with many positive memories that will last a lifetime. I wouldn’t change a thing in the process, or the home we’ve been enjoying for 3+ years, and to me that says a lot about the builders we worked with! We would easily choose American Heritage to build our home in the future!

Months spent working on a contract, traveling back and forth from North Carolina to Virginia. After we had signed the contract and could finally relax, American Heritage Homes emailed us asking for $40,000 more dollars in order for them to ratify the already signed contract. So much time wasted with this company. Please tread carefully working with them. Their prices mean nothing, even base pricing. Their base house is not a house anyone would want, coming standard with the cheapest of materials (flooring, cabinets, trim, appliances... etc.) Therefore you are forced to upgrade, even paying extra to have trim painted white instead of the color of the walls. The inflation on any upgrades is unreal. Expect to add at-least $40,000 to the base price just to get a livable home, and then

They are building a home on the lot that borders my property. For months now the silt fence has failed.after multiple trips to the office with pictures in hand my driveway is still almost unusable. Spotsylvania County has now been involved. They put an additional four feet of silt fence beyond the failing section, I am not an Engineer but that doesn't seem like a workable fix.

Enjoy our new AHH home and peaceful setting in The Estates of Chancellorsville - Sales staff very friendly, competent, and knowledgable - New CEO (Mr. Riggins - no relation to football great John Riggins) and AHH handyman (Mr. Fowler) have touched base on numerous occasions to address any of our concerns and to ensure our satisfaction with the building process and home.
