Alternative Modular Homes

We have been a client of AMH twice. Once in 2017 when we built our home in Poland and again last year when we built in Wells. It was our experience in 2017 that led us to want to work with Mary Anna and her team again. We were not disappointed. Mary Anna tells it like it is and goes to the end of the earth trying to make things right for her clients. We had an uphill battle with Wells when it came to permitting and lots of roadblocks but Mary Anna and her team were supportive and encouraging the whole time. We love our little cottage and have no regrets!!

Mary Anna & John were great to work with. They helped us custom build the home of our dreams. They made what could have been a very stressful process pleasant. We are very happy with the end result. Since finishing our home we have also recommended them to many others.

My floors were uneven and they lied about why they were. They said because the floors didnt stick down and sent a carpenter to put nails in our carpeted floor. The reason why was because the support wasnt adjusted properly down stairs. They didnt want to take resposibility. Our siding was all warped instead of replacing it they removed it and put it back on and it still looks warped. All door frames had gaps. We've noticed everything we had to replace was the cheapest quality. The person in charge of our home building was not very good at meeting our needs. So sorry that we chose them.

We started looking for a home years ago, and this year got serious. In February of 2020, we had seen every house on the strp in Oxford, liked a few, but none were what we really wanted. We wound up at Alternative Modular Homes, looking at their lot models. The salesman was very understanding in what exactly we were looking for, and said they can customize any floor plan they offer. So we looked and found one we agreed on, made some changes, and the plans were drawn up. We had our order placed around the first April of 2020, to keep ahead of the annual pricing update. Up or down, we locked in, luckily. Of course the factory was shut down during April and part of May, during the Covid-19 pandemic. No fault of Alternative. Put a mechanics lean on my property over an approximately $95 final billing that we paid timely, in my opinion they did that as a result of me demanding the receipt of a broom swept clean new home. Would not touch these people with a 10 foot pole. Modular homes are great, just find an ethical, professional salesman or saleswoman to purchase from.
