Alamo Apartments

These apartments are owned by slumlords. The building has old charm, but it definitely hasn't been taken care of and needs A LOT of work. All of the tenants smoke inside the building and the hallways are shared so everything constantly smells like stale cigarette smoke. There is always some sort of drama going on during the weekends because tenants like to get loud and have parties. There is also lot's of drug activity in both buildings. Great place to save a buck on rent, but don't expect great things.

I applied and gave my deposit. 2 says later I called to see what’s next and they gave my apt away, because they forgot I gave them a check already to hold it... Everyone makes mistakes I guess… Management got my apt back but not before trying to offer me a worse one for the same price. Every time they quoted my dues it was slightly different. I felt it was all bad signs so a few days later I asked to withdrawal my application and for my deposit back. Management tried to tell me they were keeping it! Even though I hadn’t signed anything yet!? I had to get firm with them and they mailed it out after I offered to call their boss. Super unorganized and glad I didn’t sign in the end.

I lived here back in 1981-2, It was a quant place way back then although it seems that way now. Was thinking about moving back there for the kicks. Had two different apts., first was the back left apt. & the second in the basement of the second building. I thought they were huge for the cost. I hated the stale smoke smell of it but I wasn't a partier at the time..ARMY. I left some stuff in the basement storage, did anyone see my wall art with my family name carved in it?

It has been the BEST apartment with such amazing staff and so clean and quiet. I LOVE coming home daily. Would recommend to anyone
