it took a year for me to get my tenants deposit back. I filed a complaint with the attorney general's office went to the licensing board she didn't care she ignored them all. she being Terri Neilon. it finally took the tenant going over there and asking for his deposit like I said a year later. anybody that's giving them more than one star you should consider yourself lucky she never returned phone calls with me or the tenants. it's hard to believe in a small town she can do such shoddy work and still have a business.

Military member review: Do not let this company manage your property, especially if you are not going to be on island. They are next to impossible to reach via phone or email if you need them. If they need you, they will reach out and expect you to respond in a timely manner (although you may be many time zones apart). We asked them for an inspection, as required per their contract with us; in 6 years, we never received an inspection. They let our renters turn our house into a literal Salvage yard because they never inspected. They allowed the renters to keep the security deposit, yet the kitchen floor had been flooded, and floor boards rotted. We didn't get paid for an entire month and still haven't despite contacting them multiple times. Yet, they did add it as profit to our taxes. Also,

We owned a townhome in Oak Harbor whose HOA was managed by this company. These people do not answer the phone or respond to emails. When you call their office, you are not able to reach a person. If you're under contract on a property for which you have to provide documents to the buyers on a deadline, good luck! This is consistent with the lack of response we saw while living there and reaching out about concerns about the property. You will not be able to obtain simple information from these people in a timely manner whatsoever.

I had a great experience selling my house in OH with Terri Nielon. I now live on the east coast and she juggled everything for me since I couldn't be there. Terri worked with the tenant and a different (now defunct) property management company until the property was vacant. She got quotes from contractors and oversaw the repair work. Terri kept in touch with me constantly through email and text and I felt very comfortable with her work. She even appealed the appraisal when it came back low because the comparable homes that were used were not similar in size to the home I was selling. I can't say enough about Terri or Re/Max Acorn. Her customer service and business etiquette were excellent. Highly recommend!

The owner, Terri, and the ONLY person that could help us was extremely difficult to get ahold of. Not even the nice employees at the office could reach her phone. And when she did reply to text messages (never phone calls), it had been days, and she would respond without addressing any of the questions or information we provided. Moving out was a cat and mouse game, considering we had to chase her down multiple times to figure out what we needed to do to leave. She was never able to meet with us in our apartment for walkthrough and insisted on doing a FaceTime walkthrough, but never set up a date.
