Academy Gardens Apartments

As I said for years that is not where I live but I can't stop GPS or Google thinking it's my residence. BTW: It also thinks I'm a woman! Can't beat artificial intelligence 😜

I rented an apartment at Academy Gardens for over 8 years and only left because I relocated with my job. The apartments are nice and secure and they have updated them with new windows, etc... since I left. Neighbors are friendly and quiet. Maintenance staff is on hand at least 6 days a week to help with any issues. This is a great place for senior citizens, people with small pets (one of the buildings allows pets) and anyone looking for a quiet and nice place to live. Heating costs were very reasonable. They also take good care of the parking lot, sidewalks and vehicles after snow. Any time I had a problem, which was rare, it was taken care of immediately. The apartments are awesome. Quiet area, schools near and a great small community. My reason for the one star was due to the staff. After speaking to the staff for about two weeks that we are a family coming from a different state, the apartment we wanted to apply for was given to someone else. Staff didn't even show us the apartment but the resident that was moving out did. When we went the next day to get the application, we were told that the apartment was given to a gentleman (who BTW lives alone) who had applied for a one bedroom but wanted the one we applied for which was a two. It left us angry and heart broken.

Best landlord I have ever had. Extremely well managed and prompt to complete repairs when needed. They really concern for the welfare and satisfaction of their tenants which is something you really don’t get when renting nowadays.
