2116 Chestnut

I lived here for 2 years during my MBA and it’s frankly the best option you may get around for the price range. I personally prefer apts facing the university city rather than downtown as you get to see fabulous sunsets (just make sure to pick top floors ofc). Cons: elevators do get slow/out of service. It is annoying. But I wouldn’t say it THAT bad tbh. Also, fire alarm gets false positives once every few months. And some apt are less fresh than other. They also force you to use service called Fetch to manage your deliveries and it sucks big time. Pros: The front desk people are spectacular. Andy is the reason I chose this building over its competitors. From the moment my family and I toured, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He remembers every Wharton student’s name and story, celebrates our wins, checks in when we’re stressed, and makes coming home something to look forward to. He’s brought up my groceries, encouraged me before interviews, and has supported residents in countless thoughtful, personal ways. He is truly the heart and soul of 2116 — without him, many of us simply wouldn’t stay. Isaac is equally incredible — kind, hardworking, and always a gentleman. Andy is the main reason I chose this building. From our first tour, he made my family and me feel genuinely welcome. He remembers everyone’s names and genuinely gets to know the community. He’s helped with groceries and consistently goes out of his way for residents. He’s truly the heart of 2116! Isaac and Kareem are equally kind, hardworking, and always willing to help. Management is lucky to have them—the door staff are the best part of living here!

The Only reason for the 5 stars rating is the front dask team. I can’t say enough good things about the front desk team at this building. Andy played a huge role in my decision to move here - his energy, kindness, and genuine care stood out from day one. He makes everyone feel welcome, treats residents like family, and is always going the extra mile without ever being asked. His presence truly brings this building to life. Karim, Isaac, and William are absolutely fantastic as well. They are friendly, attentive, and incredibly reliable, always ready to help and always doing it with a great attitude. This is an exceptional team, and without a doubt, the front desk team is the best part of living here.

Been here for 6 months so far. Phenomenal location, great views with the floor to ceiling windows, and the maintenance staff are very helpful. The best part are the front desk concierge attendants. Shout out Andy for always greeting me in the morning with a smile and exuberant energy. He's exceptional - he knows everyone's name and is always willing to help with anything. Also, Isaac is always warm and friendly when I get home from a long day. See y'all in the new year!
