1717 Norfolk Apartments

I moved into this place a few months ago. The move-in process was quite smooth and the management is pretty nice. However, there are a lot of headaches involved with living here that hardly justify the price. I’ll start with the good: - The apartment itself is quite roomy for a 1-bedroom. - It manages to stay cool enough in the summer that I don’t actually run my AC. - Neighbors are very friendly. - Excellent location. - In-unit washer and dryer. The bad: - After all fees are totaled, the real rent is about $250 more than advertised (half of that is due to the list price including their first-year discount, and the other half is due to the usual collection of made-up fees. When I applied the listed price was $1200/mo; the real rent is more like $1450. - The apartment itself is quite grim
