This complex has gone down over the years I’ve been here. The roof has an opening and water is leaking into my room. No one from the company has been here to assess my room. In fact, Cassidy from leasing asked me to send her pictures twice instead of coming to assess for herself. Professional Restoration came to put in a dehumidifier and told me to keep my room door closed. My room has to be 100 degrees with that machine running. Water leaked from the ceiling onto the carpet and the carpet is still in the room obtaining moisture. Each day, water continues to come into my bedroom. The paint is peeling off the wall. I’m starting to get sick with headaches, runny nose. My dog also has diarrhea and a runny nose. A friend of mine came to visit and is now having an allergy flare up. I asked
Apply with your social security number at your own risk. As I never lived at 1274, I cannot speak about the state of the apartments, other than a (self-guided) tour that I took, which seems nice enough but I never got the chance to lease. My office in Manhattan was looking to relocate a dozen reps to Towson and I was to be the first to check out the area and find an apartment complex we could all move to. 1274 seemed good even though the reviews were overall mostly negative- from my 5-day experience I can say that everything people have said about the lack of communication is absolutely correct. Saturday: Went on a tour of the apartment and was told that if I applied that day I would get an answer on Monday and could move-in by the end of the week, perfect- after the tour I applied Sunda
The property and units are beautiful and Arielle was amazing but the one thing I say is how frustrating it is with this property being an “unmanned community” meaning a leasing agent isn’t on site to answer any immediate questions you have instead it’s via text or email which you have to wait 24-48 hours for a response. I hope in the near future they have someone on sight like a traditional apartment does to help with leasing questions and etc. I think that would be a great benefit to potential residents. The amount of times I had to email and text the numbers on the website to get a response hours or days later and you don’t have a direct contact to your assigned leasing specialist is not only frustrating but a true inconvenience.
Honestly I am writing this review after leaving here for a year. I am so glad I did not let the other reviews make me miss out on this beautiful home. If you are thinking about making this place home, please do not hesitate. From the leasing agent to maintenance, everyone has been very helpful whenever I had an issue. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. There’s barely ever any noise and the trash is being picked up by valet as promised. They have set such a great tone for someone who just moved into their first apartment and I could not have being anywhere better.
If I could give this place a 0 star I would. They do NOT deserve 1 star. I lived here for 3 years when this place was called Elan Towson. Back then you actually could talk to a live person in the office and get real responses and not from a virtual assistant somewhere in Texas or Tennessee. Back then they actually did stuff for the community where food trucks would come out and you could support local businesses. Back then the maintenance people actually came out swiftly and listened to your concerns not just write you off and tell lies. I am a Veteran of US AirForce so everything I say is with honesty and to help someone else who may want to know the truth about this place. When UDR took over which is now 1274 at Towson. Everything was virtual due to the pandemic. But now that everything
