Never having an opportunity to enter the interior... I can only comment on the 1234 building exterior and its nearby neighborhood. It appears very clean, and peaceful. Also, it is conveniently located by major traffic routes.
I lived at McElderry from 2023 to 2024 as one of the first residents when the building opened for leasing. Unfortunately, my experience was mostly negative, and I would not recommend this property. Pros: The apartment itself had some appealing features, like large bay windows that let in plenty of natural light, beautiful hardwood floors, and an in-unit washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The layout was functional, and the kitchen came with modern appliances and good storage. Cons: However, the issues I faced were significant. Package theft was a recurring problem, and there were security concerns with kids breaking into the garage. As a newly constructed building, McElderry had its fair share of problems, including leaks in the halls and lobby during a storm in 2023. The commun
The building is nice. However, kids were skating in the lobby. The building has not been sanitized and cleaned. The trash shoot has been full for weeks.
Apartments are okay, I would not suggest moving in. The residents don’t keep the building clean & dirty up the building. The windows are very thin & people make a lot of noise in the courtyard. They have a lot of issues in this building but I guess that’s what you get with a section 8 property!
The redevelopment of this building was a great idea but it's still al.ost in the heart of the city where alot of crime happens around so its up to you to see if it's comfortable to live in the area, also it's convenient for shopping there's various places near by to shop, eat ect.
