I'm deeply disappointed to share my experience with this property management group, particularly during my residency at the 1000 King Apartments. At first, their demeanor was welcoming and accommodating, but that facade quickly faded away, revealing the stark reality of their incompetence and neglect. Within a mere two weeks of moving in, I encountered my first maintenance debacle - a clogged sink. It took an exasperating two weeks for them to address the issue, leaving me inconvenienced and frustrated. But the trials didn't end there. The following month, my toilet decided to join the chaos, overflowing and necessitating an emergency call for assistance. As if that wasn't enough, our AC unit proved to be another headache. Instead of efficiently cooling our apartment, it offered nothing

Car got towed after being here an hour and 15 minutes. I used to live here, everyone parks on king street in fear of being towed. There's no office so towing could be considered predatory under Towing Bill of Rights in Charleston, fight all of them if you can. Also the stairwell always stink. Ive seen people pee in them, among other things. The elevator always breaks down. They dont charge for parking but they'll tow your car if you get a flat. And if you stay for an hour and 15 minutes at a friend's apartment that lives here, without a decal, you'll get towed. Even if they dont have a car and dont know about the decals. Since when is it their business who visits you? And how long they are at your apartment, its not like they moved in! And as I mentioned the office is now an apartmen

The old County Hall! This building has history. The grounds are always being updated and renovated. The renovated apartments are beautiful! It’s obvious they decided to invest wisely. From cabinetry to baseboards everything is solid. I am so happy that this is where I decided to live in Charleston. The prices are incredible and you get the amazing smell of Rodney Scott’s BBQ every mornin when you walk to your car! (Rodney Scott’s is about a 2 minute walk) Oh and did I mention the building has a private parking lot? No need to fight or even pay for parking. You have a well maintained and security patrolled parking lot to leave your car. Just excellent! Thanks to the property manager, Jennifer. She is fantastic for showing me this. She had other properties I looked at but this is the one I

Roaches, roaches, and more roaches. There is a disgusting amount of cockroaches here. To the property's credit, they do occasionally spray for pests. On two separate occasions, we have paid professional exterminators to come and fumigate, but to no avail. I still kill 4 roaches a day, minimum. I was born and raised in the area so I know what to expect in terms of pests but this place has a problematic pest presence with at least 2 different species of cockroaches. Ultimately this is not why I chose to rate this "luxury" living space so poorly. Aside from the lackluster assistance provided from the property management, this place just does not offer anything to tenants besides a decent location downtown. Located close by to parks and a couple bars, the proximity to happening spots has bee

Great location with plenty of parking in a great location. Walking distance to Park Cafe, Rodney Scotts, Palmetto Brewing, Little Jack's and more! Hard to beat value on the Peninsula. Neighbors and management company are friendly and easy to get along with. The recent upgrades make this place hard to pass up!
